Celebrate Salisbury 800 in 2027

In 2027, Salisbury will be celebrating the 800th anniversary since the city was granted its Royal Charter in 1227, a moment that shaped its identity, rights and historic charter market. From May to November 2027, the city will host a vibrant, city-wide programme of cultural events, exhibitions, performances and experiences celebrating Salisbury 800 and showcasing the city's heritage, creativity and future. The celebrations will be set within a medieval city renowned for its cathedral, independent spirit and exceptional cultural institutions. Be sure to plan your visit to Salisbury during this time, with plenty of events taking place, as well as unmissable attractions, activities and dining experiences to enjoy!
