About

The Pembroke Arms in Wilton is an 18th Century inn and sits prominently opposite Wilton House. Originally used as overflow accommodation for the guests of the Earl and Countess of Pembroke, and later as an Officers’ Mess, the pub is now a buzzy and vibrant place.

Although you can find cosy nooks in our indoor bar and restaurant year round, our outdoor dining spaces adapt with seasons. In winter, our heated stretch tent becomes a buzzy hub for eating and drinking and in the summer, the garden is transformed into a festival-esque dining space, with an outdoor Garden Kitchen and Tap Room on weekends.

The Pembroke is the perfect pit stop if you’re visiting one of the many local sites, including Wilton House, Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge, but with nine eclectic bedrooms, each giving a nod to the pub’s heritage, you could make the trip just to put your feet up, enjoy the atmosphere, and roll to bed after one too many downstairs.

Breakfast is always included with your stay; there’s continental and cooked – Eggs Benedict and the like! If you’d like to come and stay, visit our booking page above to book at a reduced rate, we’d love to have you.

In the kitchen, we like to keep things simple and serve a range of freshly prepared and locally-sourced dishes. Our pies are made in our Pie Room by our very own Gino – Head Chef for 20 years, he’s really got the pie thing nailed down. They’re hearty, shortcrust pies; served with mash, gravy and mushy peas. Other dishes include the likes of dried aged rib-eye and sea bass. We always have a vegetarian (sometimes vegan) option available too, with accompaniments often catering for gluten free and vegan dietary requirements.

We’ve got all sorts of drinks at the Pembroke: from draft beer and cider, cocktails, and a selection of handpicked wines; through to a choice of softies if you aren’t on the booze.

Let’s not forget nole. At nole you’ll find hand-stretched sourdough pizza. We make our pizza dough daily in the Pie Room, and our toppings are procured as locally as possible. There are always pizzas being spun at the Pembroke, so if it’s a pizza you’re here for, get a nole.
