About

Newly refurbished and reopened in September 2025 after a five-year closure, Salisbury City Hall has returned as one of Wiltshire’s leading live entertainment venues. Following extensive investment, the venue now offers refreshed public spaces, improved facilities and a renewed focus on delivering outstanding live experiences for audiences old and new. Further enhancing the visitor experience, work is also underway on a brand-new café at the Fisherton Street entrance, bringing new life to an area that has been closed for many years, creating a welcoming daytime destination as well as a pre-show meeting point.

Salisbury City Hall is a purpose-built performance and events venue, hosting a diverse year-round programme of live music, comedy, theatre-style shows and special events. From chart-topping artists and acclaimed tribute acts to stand-up comedians, orchestral concerts and vibrant club nights; the City Hall plays a vital role in Salisbury’s contemporary cultural scene.

The venue is known for its lively atmosphere and excellent sightlines, offering an intimate experience whether audiences are enjoying a seated performance or a standing concert. Its flexible layout allows it to adapt easily to different types of events, welcoming both major touring productions and much-loved local performances.

Salisbury City Hall is suitable for a wide range of guests. Music fans can explore an eclectic mix of genres including rock, pop, classical, jazz and folk, while comedy lovers will find a strong line-up of touring acts throughout the year. Couples and groups of friends can enjoy a memorable night out, and many events are family-friendly, making the venue a great introduction to live entertainment for younger audiences (age guidance varies by event).

Located just a short walk from Salisbury’s shops, restaurants and iconic cathedral, Salisbury City Hall is perfectly placed for visitors looking to combine culture, dining and nightlife. Whether you’re a local resident or discovering Wiltshire for the first time, the City Hall offers an exciting and modern way to experience Salisbury.
