Stay at Longleat
Discover a new way to experience Longleat by immersing yourself in their astonishing kingdom. Let your head hit the pillow to the sound of roaring lions and wake up as a resident of Longleat Estate.
From the moment you arrive, you will enjoy an unrivalled experience. During the day, you can explore the Safari Park and Main Square attractions as well as the historic Estate and parkland, either self-guided or on an exclusive tour. In the evening, once everyone else has left the Park, you can relish in your exclusivity as the sun sets over the 9,000 acre Estate.
Nestled in the rural West Country, Longleat sits on the border of Wiltshire and Somerset. There are stunning countryside views and walks to be enjoyed, as well as numerous historic and heritage landmarks, only a short distance from the Park. Local towns include Frome, Warminster and Westbury; each boasting shopping opportunities, restaurants and bars, and, including the surrounding villages, a fantastic selection of West Country inns and pubs.
For sure-footed explorers, meander up to Heaven's Gate, the spectacular lookout point at the very top of the Park and enjoy its stunning vista (perfect for a romantic sunset). Continue on towards Shear Water, the vast lake nestled within the Longleat Forest’s woodland, and the perfect spot for a picnic. Pick up an ice cream or a hearty lunch at the café in the summer months.
Keeper’s House and Keeper’s Cottage
Prepare for a luxury experience with unrivalled views of Longleat's Safari Park in Keeper's House or Keeper's Cottage. These safari-immersed properties are at the heart of Longleat’s Safari Park. They overlook the East African Reserve; home to Longleat’s herd of Grant's zebras and Rothschild’s giraffes.
Those calling Keeper’s Cottage or Keeper’s House their home for their stay at Longleat are offered a complimentary, exclusive 4x4 safari tour with one of our knowledgeable VIP Team. They will ensure you get closer than ever before to our majestic animal residents.
The iconic gatehouse, East Lodge, is located between the village of Horningsham and Longleat House. It serves as the prestigious south entrance. As you round the corner from Horningsham, you are met with the exhilarating view of Longleat House’s imposing façade from the top of a mile-long, straight carriageway.
East Lodge offers the perfect position to explore the Park and it's historic 'Capability' Brown landscaped grounds. Take a stroll down the Pleasure Walk and view the unique sculptures dotted along its undulating pathway, as well as its beautiful flora and fauna blooming throughout the year. Guests of the gatehouse receive a complimentary Longleat Estate Gardens & Architecture Tour with one of our knowledgeable Guides. They will take you to lesser-seen areas of the Longleat grounds and introduce the fascinating trees, plants and wildlife that can be encountered.
