About

A fifth-generation, family farm nestled in the picturesque countryside, Hartley Farm Shop & Kitchen offers a unique dining and shopping experience that connects visitors with the land and the vibrant food community around it. We are just a few miles from Bradford on Avon and the City of Bath with plenty of free parking available.

Our farm shop is stocked with a carefully curated selection of locally sourced, seasonal produce, artisan products, alongside our full-service butchers counter with our very own grass-fed beef and local meat sourced directly from local farms, ensuring every purchase supports sustainable food systems and small local producers. From fresh fruit and vegetables to handcrafted cheeses, jams, and chutneys, we take pride in offering the very best of the region.

In our farm kitchen (voted the UK’s Best Farm Restaurant 2023!), we focus on delivering homemade, heart-warming dishes that reflect our commitment to quality. Our menu is inspired by local food from our farm shop with a modern twist, featuring hearty breakfasts, delicious lunches, and freshly baked cakes and pastries. On Sundays, we serve a classic Sunday roast with all the trimmings, perfect for family gatherings or a cosy meal with friends.

Hartley Farm Shop & Kitchen is an ideal spot for a wide range of guests. Whether you're a family looking for a wholesome day out, a couple in search of a relaxing afternoon, or a foodie eager to explore local flavours, we provide a warm welcome and a memorable experience. With accessible seating indoors and a beautiful outdoor terrace looking over the fields, we accommodate guests of all ages and abilities, making us a perfect stop for both locals and tourists alike.

For those seeking to explore the area, we are conveniently located near stunning walking trails, such as the historic Bath Skyline and the scenic Cotswold Way alongside some smaller, more local routes making the most of the beautiful footpaths across the countryside and canals available from the farm shop. Additionally, nearby attractions like the beautiful city of Bath, with its Roman Baths and Georgian architecture, are just a short drive away.

At Hartley Farm, we don’t just serve food; we celebrate it. Throughout the year, we host special events, including seasonal tastings, food workshops, and community gatherings. Whether you're joining us for a casual meal, a special afternoon tea, or a farm-to-fork experience, Hartley Farm Shop & Kitchen is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy the countryside, and connect with the rich flavours of our local community.
