Road Directions
From the East To avoid congestion in and around Chippenham we recommend that you exit the M4 at Junction 14. Then take the A4 through marlborough and Calne. Approximately 2 miles west to Calne you will see the sign for Bowood You can also exit at Junction 16 of the M4 and take the A3102 to Calne, from Calne take the A4 towards Chippenham and then follow the brown tourist signs to Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort. Alternatively the route to Bowood is signposted all the way from Junction 17 of the M4. Follow the brown tourist signs to Bowood House from Junction 17, around Chippenham and then head towards Calne on the A4. Approx 3 miles out of Chippenham, there is a large white pub on the right (The Lysley Arms). Just after the pub turn right onto the A342 (Devizes) following the signs to Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort. Drive up the hill for approx ½ mile then turn left into Derry Hill village. The entrance to the golf club is immediately to your right through the ‘Golden Gates’ opposite The Lansdowne Arms pub. From the West The route to Bowood is signposted all the way from Junction 17 of the M4. Follow the brown tourist signs to Bowood House from Junction 17, around Chippenham and then head towards Calne on the A4. Approx 3 miles out of Chippenham, there is a large white pub on the right (The Lysley Arms). Just after the pub turn right onto the A342 (Devizes) following the signs to Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort. Drive up the hill for approx ½ mile then turn left into Derry Hill village. The entrance to the golf club is immediately to your right through the ‘Golden Gates’ opposite The Lansdowne Arms pub. From the South Take the A342 towards Chippenham, continue through the village of Sandy Lane and soon after the road changes to a 40 mph limit you will see the brown tourist sign for Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort. Turn right into the village of Derry Hill. The entrance to the golf club is immediately to your right through the ‘Golden Gates’ opposite The Lansdowne Arms pub. From the North Take the A429 from Malmesbury towards Chippenham, at the M4 junction take the A350 to Chippenham. Follow the brown tourist signs to Bowood House around Chippenham and then head towards Calne on the A4. Approx 3 miles out of Chippenham, there is a large white pub on the right (The Lysley Arms). Just after the pub turn right onto the A342 (Devizes) following the signs to Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort. Drive up the hill for approx ½ mile then turn left into Derry Hill village. The entrance to the golf club is immediately to your right through the ‘Golden Gates’ opposite The Lansdowne Arms pub.
