FUNKESTRA is the brainchild of London based bassist, Stefan Redtenbacher, a powerhouse collective known for their tight grooves, fiery horn sections, and a deep love of funk. Born out of Redtenbacher's passion for 70s funk, soul, and jazz-fusion, the band has been laying down seriously infectious grooves since its formation, blending old-school vibes with a fresh, contemporary edge.

With a rotating lineup of top-tier session musicians and solo artists, Funkestra has become a staple on the UK funk and jazz scene. Their high-energy live shows are a masterclass in musicianship, combining blistering solos, slick arrangements, and unrelenting rhythm. They've shared stages with legends and built a loyal fanbase who know they're in for something special every time Funkestra hits the stage.
