Autumn is one of the best times to visit Wiltshire. The countryside slows down, the colours turn rich and everything feels a little more inviting. Our cottages sit in the heart of Edington, with our Award-Winning Three Daggers pub next door serving seasonal food and our own freshly brewed ales. And just a stone’s throw away, the Farm Shop is stocked with local produce, artisan treats and homemade meals if you’d rather eat in. When it’s time to fully switch off, the Wellness Barn offers spa treatments and massages to help you recharge.

Autumn here feels especially homely. You can spend the day exploring Salisbury Plain, nearby villages and see Wiltshire’s best attractions, then return to a warm, cosy cottage whether you’re cooking supper, lighting the fire or just settling in with a glass of wine. It’s the quintessential countryside stay cosy, inviting and packed with character.

Brewhouse
Originally built in the 1700s Brewhouse, sleeps up to 4 people and is the perfect countryside escape for a romantic getaway, a cosy family stay or friends looking for a place to relax and reset. The heart of the cottage is its living room, with a snug sofa pulled up to a fireplace that makes autumn evenings feel super cosy. Cook a hearty meal in the open kitchen, gather around the farmhouse table, then head next door to your very own games room with darts and a game of foosball. Outside, there’s a private garden overlooking the orchards where you can sit with a drink, wrapped up warm around a firepit and watch the last of the autumn light fade before strolling across to the pub for a nightcap.

Orchard House
Steeped in history and dating back to the 1700s, Orchard House is the kind of place that makes you instantly slow down the moment you walk through the door. The perfect quintessential countryside stay with exposed beams and a striking stone fireplace, it feels warm, characterful and full of charm. Sleeping up to eight guests, it’s perfect for family gatherings or groups of friends who want to enjoy a countryside stay with a little extra comfort.

The farmhouse-style kitchen is made for cooking together, while the large dining table is where meals easily turn into hours of conversation. Outside, the private garden looks across to the Priory Orchard, particularly beautiful in autumn when the trees glow with seasonal colour. A firepit and outdoor seating mean you can still make the most of crisp evenings, wrapped up with a drink in hand.
In fact, Orchard House is so comfortable you may not want to leave, except to head over to the pub, of course.

Hillside Cottage
Hillside Cottage is our largest and most impressive stay, with six ensuite bedrooms sleeping up to 12 guests. It’s made for get togethers whether that’s a family reunion, a weekend with friends or a special celebration where everyone has space to relax. The house sits in private grounds with sweeping countryside views and gardens that change beautifully with the seasons, giving you the perfect countryside backdrop.
What makes Hillside so unique is its spa barn complete with a sauna, steam room, cold plunge and hot tub. On crisp autumn evenings, there’s nothing better than sinking into the hot tub as the air cools around you, before wrapping up by the firepit with a drink in hand. And if you’re feeling playful, the private Trailhead Cabin is ready with darts and games to keep the night going.

The living room at Hillside Cottage is the heart of the home, where deep, inviting sofas sit around a roaring wood burning fireplace perfect for curling up with a book. The kitchen is bright, spacious and fully equipped, with everything you need to cook together and a large dining table overlooking rolling hills that turns every meal into a relaxed, sociable occasion. Each of the six bedrooms has its own ensuite, offering privacy and comfort, with soft beds and warm lighting.
