About

Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire, is brimming with heritage, history and scenic charm.

Once you arrive, the hustle and bustle fades and you can take your time exploring the Georgian architecture-flanked streets, beautiful green spaces and tranquil waterways.

There are plenty of reasons to visit Bradford on Avon. From scenic walks along the Kennet & Avon Canal to exploring the Saxon Church, the Tithe Barn, and Alex Moulton’s former Jacobean residence, as well as exploring our wealth of independent shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, Bradford on Avon offers something for everyone.

Cross the ancient Town Bridge and you’ll see the hill peppered with historic weavers' cottages and the riverbank lined with 19th-century former cloth mills, offering a glimpse into the town’s rich industrial history.

The town also hosts a vibrant calendar of annual events, including the Duck Race, Lions Fun Day, Green Man Festival, Secret Gardens, Walking Festival, and much more.

You can even hire a canoe or mountain bike or follow the Bradford on Avon Walker's Wheel map and explore on foot.

If you’re travelling by rail, the town is only a 12-minute train journey from Bath – making it the perfect town to escape to. There are also regular buses from the town to Bath and other market towns in Wiltshire.

If you’re travelling by car there’s also 4 car parks within a 5-minute walk of the town centre.
