About

Salisbury Stonehenge & Sarum Tours offer high quality tours to the local attractions. Guests enjoy our Magical History tour to Stonehenge travelling along small roads along the beautiful Woodford Valley through picturesque villages with thatched cottages. In providing an entertaining and informative commentary by an experienced guide guests are introduced to ways and life of the people who built this World Heritage site. After visiting Stonehenge a tour around Old Sarum embraces the times of this the earliest settlement from Iron Age Fort through the Roman, Saxon, Viking and finally Norman times. Here the ruins of the medieval castle enjoy a magnificent aspect over the surrounding countryside and Salisbury with it’s Cathedral.

Ravelling through the quintessentially English countryside along the river Avon the mysteries of 5,000 years gradually unravel. Many guests comment on the joy of seeing Salisbury Cathedral from the aspect chosen by John Constable for his famous paintings of the building. Commentaries in German, Italian, English, French and Japanese are available.

Bespoke tours to other Neolithic sites such as Avebury, Durrington Walls and Silbury Hill can also be arranged.
