Announcing Along the Nile: Eight artists in Egypt, Summerleaze Gallery presents new paintings inspired by Egypt.

This October, Wiltshire-based Summerleaze Gallery presents Along the Nile: Eight Artists in Egypt, a new exhibition bringing together work by eight artists following a shared painting journey through Egypt earlier this year.

Featuring Tim Scott Bolton, Susie Elliott, Luke Martineau, Bella Martineau, Charles Church, Richard Foster, Alice Boggis Rolfe and Geoffrey Leckie, the exhibition captures eight individual responses to a country that has inspired artists and travellers for centuries.

Travelling through Luxor and Aswan and along the Nile, the group painted amid ancient temples, villages and agricultural landscapes. Their resulting works move between Egypt's monumental history and the rhythms of everyday life: feluccas crossing the river, desert landscapes, village houses, animals, ancient architecture and the changing light on the water.

Along the Nile offers eight distinct interpretations of a shared experience. From the monumental to the intimate, the exhibition captures an Egypt shaped by light, water, history and daily life with the Nile running through it all.

The exhibition is free to attend and runs from 10 October – 11 October 2026. Open daily 10am - 4pm or by appointment only from 12 - 16 October.
