Winners of several international prizes and mentored by the legendary pianist Alfred Brendel, Astatine Piano Trio was formed at the Royal College of Music in 2021. They perform two pinnacles of the piano trio repertoire: Shostakovich's dramatic and haunting trio written at the height of the Second World War, and Schubert's radiant E flat major trio which is a vast and sweeping masterpiece considered by many to be one of the seminal works for piano trio.
