BOX REVELS - 70th JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS
The Box Revels team have been busy behind the scenes, working hard to ensure our Jubilee Celebrations is a weekend to remember for years to come.
Our goals for the weekend are:
Have fun!! Celebrate the best of Box through fun-filled family-friendly events
Make a difference: All funds raised will be split between Dorothy House (our chosen charity for 2022) and for the Box Revels foundation which awards grants to local charities and good-causes
Here's a few more details about each of the events, all of which are FREE unless otherwise stated.
Friday 3rd June:
11am - Flashmob Fitness with Luther Training: Warm up for the weekend! A fun-filled fitness class for all-ages & abilities, hosted by Adam Luther (Box Rec, upper).
12-4pm - Box Kings v Box Queens T20 cricket match: Not to be missed!! Cricket, comedy commentary, and creative interpretations of the'Kings and Queens' fancy dress theme! (Box Rec, upper)
12-4pm - Craft & Creative Fair: 28 stalls including Little Acorn children's clothes, Ledbury wood-turning, Mocili bespoke jewellery and Potting Shed handcrafted toys (Selwyn Hall)
4pm-late - Jubilee Jamboree - Live Music Night: Sing, drink, dance & be merry with the best local bands. Featuring MiD WiFE CRiSiS, The Clones, Bottle of Dog & Pipe Dream (Queens Head)
Saturday 4th June:
11am-1.30pm - Movie matinee - Sing! Enjoy this classic family favourite… voted favourite film by Box Primary School (Selwyn Hall - Children £2,50, Adults £5)
2-5pm - Old School Sports Day & Jubilee picnic: Hosted by Games-master Janine Stevenson. Wheelbarrow race, egg & spoon, 3-legged races, egg-throwing, welly-whanging…. Bring your own picnic & enjoy the fun! (Box Rec, lower)
7.30pm-late: Revels Banquet - 80's Game Show Classics! Box Revels' unique twist on Play Your Cards Right, Blankety Bank, Family Fortunes and who will win Bully's star prize??!! (Selwyn Hall. Tickets on sale soon @ Stop Press, £7.50)
Sunday 5th June:
 11.30am: Revels Jubilee Parade. Kick off Box Revels fete with our royal-fancy-dress themed parade….. led by The Queen herself! (Gather on Bargates green)
12-5pm: Box Revels traditional fete: A fun-packed day for all the family. Stalls, fun-fair, sock-wrestling, wife-carrying, climbing wall, dog-show, live magic from Dave Hickory, Chuffy the train, and the signature Tug-o-War event to round off a spectacular weekend (Box Rec. Parking available on lower Rec for £2 donation)
