About
We will be commemorating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day at this year's Festival of Remembrance which promises to be a poignant and moving event, where we will come together to pay tribute to the brave individuals who have served their country with courage and dedication.
As we gather at The Civic, Trowbridge on Friday 8th November, we will create a space for veterans, their families, and the wider community to share in the stories of sacrifice, resilience, and camaraderie that define our shared history.
In commemorating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, we will remember the extraordinary valour and sacrifices made by the soldiers who landed on the beaches of Normandy to secure freedom and peace for future generations. Through music, poetry, and personal testimonies, we will honour their legacy and ensure that their courage and commitment are never forgotten.
Join us for an evening of reflection, gratitude, and unity as we come together to celebrate the indomitable spirit of those who have served and continue to serve our country. Together, we will recognise the significance of remembrance, honouring the past, acknowledging the present, and inspiring hope for the future.
We are delighted to announce our Festival of Remembrance will include performances by The Bratton Silver Band and Lyneham Military Wives Choir.
