Taking inspiration from the best-selling memoir The Salt Path, Raynor Winn reads passages from her work that seamlessly combine with folk songs of love, loss and the natural world in this stunning collaboration with The Gigspanner Big Band, which is a collective of some of the biggest names on the folk-roots scene. The vibrant and thought-provoking compositions have been especially written for this show, and artfully wrapped around songs and tunes gathered from the collections of Cecil Sharp and Sabine Baring-Gould.
