The Wiltshire Police Band was founded in 1985 and is very excited to be in its 40th anniversary year. The Band, under the baton of Musical Director Martin Perry LRAM ARCM, is a military-style concert band with woodwind, brass and percussion sections. The Band's repertoire is vast and ranges from traditional marches to big band classics, popular musical shows and arrangements of classical music. Although the Band is linked to Wiltshire Police, none of the current wonderful members are police officers, but are extremely committed and enthusiastic in all of the Band's achievements.
The standard of musicianship is high and Martin has driven the Band to the level that it is today. The Band performs with many community choirs and musical groups and supports local charities and worthwhile causes by raising money at local events.
