About

Orchardleigh Estate provides endless activities, including countryside walks, an 18 hole golf course, horse riding and fishing (by prior arrangement), to name but a few. Orchardleigh Golf and Country Club is within walking distance also offers a full bar and menu along with a children's adventure playground. Orchardleigh Golf and Country Club, a Brian Huggett designed 18 hole course, Golf course of the year Southwest England 2023 (Your Golfer). 6th Best course in Somerset2023 (Top 100 courses). Full driving range and practice facilities along with the Peacock and Stag Restaurant and Bar. Golf can be booked via the website, from £16 for 18 holes, we also hire Golf Clubs and offer lessons.

There are tranquil walks on the Estate around our 35 acres of lakes and 12th Century Island Church. We do have livestock so please do keep your dogs on a lead. Golf buggies can also be booked via the Golf Club. Orchardleigh offers a great base for the regions most Famous Attractions: The Famous Longleat House and Safari Park is only 10 mins from Orchardleigh, and can offer an amazing day out for all the family The stunning City of Bath along with the architectural and the historical Roman Baths, is worth a visit during your stay. Along with some fantastic shopping too! 20 mins from Orchardleigh Estate. World Heritage site of Stonehenge is 25 mins from Orchardleigh. This prehistoric monument is one not to be missed during your stay with us. Cheddar Gorge is stunning area to visit too. Lots of walks, scenery and caving are on offer. 30 Mins from Orchardleigh Estate Wookey Hole Caves and Adventure is a great day out for the family and 30 mins from Orchardleigh Estate Iford Manor has the beautiful Grade I listed garden, for all the horticulturalists.

The Cottages 

Orchardleigh offers a selection of self catering accommodation able to book across the estate. Whether it's a romantic couples retreat at the exquisite Lakeside Palladium Boathouse or a family gathering at the traditional country garden house, the options are endless. 

Orchardleigh Castle - The castle’s two battlements have been transformed into separate properties that sleep up to 12 guests individually or 24 guests when both are hired together. 

Lakeside Palladian Boathouse - A tranquil and romantic retreat for two, nestled on the edge of a sparkling 35 acre lake at the heart of the estate. Sleeps up to 2 guests

Church Lodge - Rest and Relax in this unique and tranquil getaway.  Nestled close to our very own Estate Church and at the end of our amazing 35 acre lake.

Elmhay Village - Located around a central courtyard, Elmhay Village comprises 12 beautifully restored cottages. Varying in size from our penthouse cottage (perfect for two) to our five bedroom farmhouse sleeping up to 16 guests, the cottages can be hired individually or together for larger groups.
