Ideal location for exploring Bath 20 minutes away, Corsham is 8 minutes and Lacock 5 minutes away, The Cotswolds and Wiltshire countryside, Whitley Coach House offers self-catering accommodation.

Whitley Coach House has a large bedroom with a king size bed with an supremely comfortable Vi-Spring pocket sprung mattress. The living room has high ceilings with exposed beams and includes two three-seater sofas one with a large double  with mattress topper pull-out bed. In addition, there is a luxurious deep sprung folding bed for use in the bedroom or entrance hall and for children an additional two folding beds to go on the bedroom floor if needed.

The nearby Pear Tree Inn is a great pub for, lunch, supper or drinks, evening take away fish and chips or burger and chips only 10 minutes walk or 2 minutes drive from Whitley Coach House. With The Pear Tree and a great many other great locals nearby including the amazing gastro food at The Longs Arms, South Wraxall, who’s chef/proprietor Robert Allcock has just won Craft Guild of Chefs Award 2018, Pub Restaurant Chef Award from The Worshipful Company of Cooks. Amazing food by a perfectionist who is outstanding.

The Accommodation

Whitley Coach House is a detached former coach house to a Georgian house built in 1808, renovated in November 2013 and redecorated regularly providing spacious holiday accommodation. Whitley Coach House has a large bedroom with an individually designed and handmade super king size bateau bed designed and made by Tim Wood of www.timwood.com in oak,

 with a supremely comfortable handmade Vi-Spring pocket sprung mattress often only found in 5 or 6 rated hotels or amazing private homes. The living room has high ceilings with exposed beams and a solid oak floor and includes two three-seater sofas one with a pull-out bed. The living room has views to your own private sandstone paved terrace with bordered flower bed and high privacy hedge for use in dry weather which has a beautiful teak table and chairs for use in good weather. The kitchen table seats up to six people.

It has fast free broadband, a 40 inch smart TV with 100’s of Freeview channels and the ability to watch other online services like Netflix.

In a beautiful semi-rural location within striking distance of many fantastic places to explore including the Georgian City of Bath, the picturesque National Trust village of Lacock and Bowood House, with its Championship Golf Course, Spa and children’s adventure playground.

Whitley Coach House is a 5-minute walk away from Whitley 9 hole Golf Club and driving range that welcomes everyone from complete beginners to more experienced golfers. Being a relaxed course there is no dress code – trainers and tee shirts are fine. It has a licensed bar, golf clubs for hire, buggy for hire, PGA golf Pro and much more. With several more courses within a few miles.

Guest Access

The back has a private sandstone paved terrace with bordered flower bed and high privacy hedge for use in dry weather. There is plenty of private parking. A barbeque can be provided if asked for at extra cost.

A five-minute walk behind Whitley Coach House is Whitley Golf course and lots of great public footpaths.

Whitley Coach House is not adapted for wheelchair users but has a step up into the property on entry. Once inside there are no steps, it is a converted coach house on one level.

Interaction with Guests

Tim or Ginny will normally hand you the keys and discuss Whitley Coach House and the surrounding area with you on arrival. Unless you need help or are staying over a week, you will be left alone to enjoy your stay.

Very near Whitley Golf course, before Whitley golf course going south you will see a sign pointing right for Whitley reading rooms - Whitley Coach House is on the left just before that sign (almost opposite the end of Middle Lane). Whitley Coach House is set back to the left of a handsome Georgian House with a Bath stone exterior and a large front door canopied terrace, with a large tree in the front garden, with a round teak seat around it - behind a wall and hedging, Whitley Coach House is set at the back left.
