About

Accommodation: https://www.teffonthouse.com/stay-unwind

Teffont House is a small village hotel and restaurant with seventeen bedrooms and glorious gardens, in the Nadder Valley, Wiltshire.

Dating back to 1623, Teffont House sits at the heart of Teffont Evias, one of Wiltshire’s prettiest villages, surrounded by the rolling landscapes of Cranborne Chase, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just two hours from London.

Seventeen en-suite bedrooms have been carefully restored and are spread across the historic main house, grounds and neighbouring cottage; each enjoying beautiful views of the unspoilt village and gardens. Explore the surrounding countryside, or simply just sit, read, paint and enjoy the quiet.

Food & Drink https://www.teffonthouse.com/food-drink

Seasonal West Country cooking, served in the orangery, the terrace, or a cosy spot on the sofa. Alongside elegant dishes that feel alive with the season, you’ll always find comforting classics. Harping back to the good old days, our menus will allow you to sip sparkling wine with duck fat chips, nibble from the cheese trolley and breakfast with smoked haddock kedgeree.

Nearby: https://www.teffonthouse.com/see-and-do

Teffont House is in the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nearby There are many wonderful walks through the Nadder Valley and numerous outdoor pursuits, so you can live like a local. The walled garden has a newly planted apple orchard, croquet lawn and badminton court where fierce competition is encouraged.

Within the grounds of the house, there are summer houses in the garden stocked with watercolour sets, paper and pencils for drawing and journalling. After dark, with a mug of Horlicks, or a night cap, take to the loungers to admire the stars, courtesy of the European ‘dark sky’ reserve.

We are close to Salisbury
Explore the city of Salisbury, a twenty five minute drive away from the house and discover its cathedral with the tallest spire in the country.

And Stourhead:
