Across Time - The Art of Brian Nolan

Brian Nolan (1931—2019) was inspired by
change and continuity in the natural and human
world, the cycle of seasons and days, growth and
renewal. He often painted outdoors, walking
familiar paths to observe and capture the
landscape in a particular moment in time. Brian
held solo exhibitions and contributed work to
many others, including the summer exhibitions
at the Royal Academy in London.
While predominantly a watercolour artist, Brian
also worked in oils and pastels. Still life pictures,
portraits and a small number of abstract pictures
were also completed, and the exhibition reflects
this range of work.
