(all things) Bright and Beautiful

Fisherton Mill is delighted to be welcoming back Salisbury artist Louise Luton with her new exhibition entitled '(all things) Bright and Beautiful'.
Louise is known as a wildlife painter and is inspired by the natural world. Her sketchbooks are mainly in watercolour as she prefers the immediacy of that medium when working outside. She primarily works in oils building up layers to create an exciting colour palette throughout her work. The underpainting is
traditional, creating form, working dark to light and lean to thick. However it is only in the top layers and glazes that you see Louise's unique style come to the fore with colour being used in surprising ways. Most recently she has been working in
cold wax medium creating still more texture and layers in her work.
This beautiful exhibition showcases a variety of her oil paintings, giclee prints on textured panel, and cold wax medium paintings, all celebrating the beauty of the world around her.
Louise has exhibited in galleries across the UK and is very excited to be exhibiting again in her hometown here at Fisherton Mill.
Louise will be at Fisherton Mill painting and answering questions about her work on Tuesday 8th and Tuesday 15th June.
Visitors to the exhibition will also be able to enter a prize draw to win two of Louise's fantastic prints.
