About

THE ART TRAIL IS BACK!

3rd - 18th September 2022
Over 70 artists will be taking part in & around Salisbury

photography | Painting | sculpture | mixed media | jewellery | ceramics | glassware
And everything else in between

It’s back! From 3rd to 18th of September, artists from Salisbury and the surrounding area showcase their work, as part of the13th Salisbury Art Trail organized by Plain Arts, the leading visual arts organisation in Salisbury.

Back after a pandemic-enforced break, this year’s Trail is better than ever, with new artists taking part, new venues, and an interactive Google map to plan your route.

Discover creative Salisbury; enjoy art in fabulous retail and hospitality venues and in artists’ own studios and homes. Find exhibitions in unexpected and intriguing locations across the city and beyond. Just look out for the yellow signs! With something to suit most budgets, supporting your local artists couldn’t be easier. Examples of work from all the artists taking part in the Art Trail are showcased at the Trailblazer exhibition in Salisbury Library and this also offers an ideal place to start your route.

Judith Rodgers, Chairperson for Plain Arts says:

“The Art Trail is a firm favourite in the Salisbury arts calendar, and this year promises 16 fabulous days of creativity to appreciate the sheer range and quality of local art in and around Salisbury. Our brilliant new Art Trail brochure is available online and you can pick up a free copy at the Art Centre and the Library amongst other places. Plain Arts warmly welcomes you to check out where your nearest local artist is, taking the opportunity to visit workshopsand celebrate the art work in the 2022 Salisbury Art Trail.”Plain Arts is an artist led, self-funding organization representing artists living in Salisbury and thesurrounding area. We provide support and recognition for the local arts community, raising the profile of local art and highlighting the wealth of fantastic creative talent there is in the Salisbury area.
