Safer and Supportive Salisbury is running this event to help everyone pick up ideas and tips to be able to 'thrive' on a limited budget.
There will be live cookery demonstrations throughout the day to help everyone to eat well – and to feed a family – on a budget. There will be harvest produce available and tips and hints on preparing it and on cooking both fresh and tinned foods.
In our 'Coping with Christmas' section there will be great ideas for giving and gifting – for birthdays and other celebrations as well as for the big day in December! As well as examples, crafters will be demonstrating how to make your own lovely low-cost gifts and decorations. There will also be ideas for free and low-cost days out, events and activities for all the family.
Representatives of organisations will be on hand to provide confidential advice and support on finance, including help with claiming benefits. There will also be information and help with heating bills and advice on low-cost transport solutions.
There is free entry to this event, which will run from 12 noon to 6pm and everyone is welcome.
