Concert in Aid of Ukraine this Saturday 18 April in St John's Church, Tisbury, Wiltshire SP3 6NH at 7pm
We have been fortunate to engage the support of the acclaimed American soprano, Elissa Edwards, who is singing free of charge to maximise the money to be sent via Christian Aid to Ukraine. She has appeared as soloist in numerous oratorios in both The States and the UK. "Hailed for her pliant, seductive and free-ranging voice" - The Gramophone - and "Glistening tone" - Early Music America
Elissa has selected a programme of Early 20th Century English Songs by Quilter, Finzi, Rebecca Clarke, Ivor Gurney, Howells and Vaughan Williams. The groups of songs are interspersed with poetry from Ukraine recited by local Ukrainians.
Tickets are £20 on the door and include a glass of Ukrainian wine.
