Map & Directions
Road Directions
The Great Bustard is located in central south Wiltshire, in Great Durnford, three miles from the A303 with direct routes to London, Devon and Cornwall. Stonehenge is three miles away and we are six miles from the medieval city of Salisbury.
Directions for reaching us via car: Approaching from the north, via Amesbury, follow the A345 south until the White Railings Roundabout then take the second exit and an immediate right turn, following the road into Great Durnford. Keep going past St Andrew’s Church on your right and Jubilee Hill on the left and then The Great Bustard will be shortly after on the right. We have a car park outside and five EV chargers.
The Great Bustard is a 15 minute drive from Salisbury, straight up the A345 until high post where you turn left, and keep going all the way until Jubilee Hill where there is a right turn straight into Great Durnford.
Public Transport Directions
Directions via train: The closest station is Salisbury railway station, which is approximately 15 minutes away by car. The train takes 1.5 hours from London and local taxis from the station can be organised in advance.
Directions via bus: The closest bus stop is the Great Durnford Cricket Ground, which is a two minute walk away. The 8, X4, X5 and 201 routes all pass near Great Durnford.
