About

Did you know that Salisbury Cathedral has a library that’s nearly 600 years old?

We are celebrating the end of our Beyond the Library Door Project to catalogue and care for the 1000s of Library books. So, as a special event, we are opening the Library doors to visitors 13:00 -16:00 daily from Monday 25 – Friday 29 October. There will also be a specially created children’s book trail available to explore the Cathedral with during the half term holidays.

There will also be a series of special talks where you can learn more about the project and what we found Beyond the Library Door on Saturday 30 October. The Library will be open for visitors then too and children (and adults!) can also make their own bookmark and have a go at calligraphy. See below for full details.
