About

Based at Laverstoke Mill in rural Hampshire, just 15 miles from Winchester and 60 miles from London, the Bombay Sapphire Distillery is in a conservation area with over 1000 years of history.

For over 225 years, the Victorian and Georgian buildings set astride the crystal-clear River Test produced bank note paper for the Bank of England and the British Empire. Now, Laverstoke Mill is a state-of-the-art sustainable distillery, which produces every drop of Bombay Sapphire gin.

The distillery showcases the care, skill and artistry behind every drop of Bombay Sapphire, and allows you to discover the flavours of the botanicals which make Bombay Sapphire gin so unique.

Start your experience with a trip to the Turbine Bar to choose a Bombay gin to make a gin & tonic before heading to the cinema room to be immersed in all things Bombay Sapphire in preparation for a tour of Laverstoke Mill.

Discover the ten certified sustainably sourced botanicals which make Bombay Sapphire so exquisite in the iconic glasshouses designed by Heatherwick Studios, chart hundreds of years of Laverstoke Mill’s illustrious history married with the fascinating heritage of gin and Bombay Sapphire, and uncover the secrets of Bombay Sapphire’s rare vapour-infusion distillation process used to make their world-famous gin.

Bombay Sapphire's Discovery Experiences and Gin Cocktail Masterclasses are available to book online - please note that booking in advance is essential.

Enjoy delicious food in The Mill Café, made from the freshest and highest quality ingredients sourced from local suppliers. Then choose from a wide range of cocktails and drinks in The Mill Bar and browse unique gifts, cocktail equipment and our full range of Bombay gins in The Gin Shop.

From the Discovery Experience and Gin Cocktail Masterclass there is something for everyone – including previous visitors, gin lovers, budding bartenders and those looking for a fun day out!

You can also give the gift of gin to friends and family by purchasing a Bombay Sapphire Distillery Gift Card from our website or browse our wide range of gins, gift hampers and accessories from our online store.
