About

River Bourne Community Farm is a working farm which is open all year and is FREE to enter making it accessible to all. This is a great opportunity to see a working farm and to get up close to the farm’s animals including: pigs, sheep, alpacas, donkeys, goats, poultry and small animals such as guinea pigs and rabbits. Children can hand feed the animals for just £1. Feed is available from the Small Animal Barn and at the Entrance. The farm has free parking.  The Farmyard is open daily from 10am to 1pm.

In 2024 the farm were Wiltshire Winners of Muddy Stilettos "Best Family Attraction" - and the only finalilst that is free to visit.

The farm consists of 5 acres of farmyard which is mainly accessible for disabled and elderly visitors and lies adjacent to 53 acres of water meadows which are owned by The Devenish Bradshaw Charitable Trust. There are a number of permissive paths and nature trails around the farm (maps are available in the farm cafe). The River Bourne, which is a chalk stream with a variety of river life runs alongside the water meadows.

The farm has a shop and a warm and cosy cafe on site with indoor and outdoor seating areas. Free range eggs and meat are available, as well as a range of other produce and gift items. The cafe sells hot and cold drinks, cakes and lunches. The shop and cafe are open Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm, weekends from 10am to 3pm.

The farm welcomes visits from groups (by appointment). Guided farm tours are available and a range of lunches or cream teas can be booked in advance from the farm cafe. Parking is available for coaches.

The farm holds a number of community events throughout the year.  All events and activities are publicised on the farm’s website and Facebook page. Look out for adult and children’s seasonal activities taking place on weekends and in school holidays.
