Fisherton Mill is delighted to welcome four talented Dorset-based artists to the Mill for a vibrant exhibition of paintings and sculpture inspired by the beauty and organic forms of the natural world.
Caroline Tucker is an independent professional artist who trained at the Arts University in Bournemouth and then went on to gain a BA (Hons) Degree in Contemporary Textile Design in Cardiff. She began working for a print and embroidery studio in London, creating designs for high street fashion, before developing her own brand of products. Caroline now specializes in vibrant and quirky acrylic and watercolour artworks inspired by a love of the countryside and beautiful coastline where she lives.
Katie Bourne Davies holds a BA (Hons) in Illustration from Cambridge School of Art. She applies her expertise in composition and visual storytelling to create atmospheric pieces, characterised by vibrant colour and expressive, contemporary mark-making. As the founder of the 'Dorset Artists Guild', Katie actively supports and promotes the local contemporary art community.
Sarah Jayne Jefferies, who specialises in acrylics, but also loves working with ink, wax, pastel, charcoal and varied illustrative pens, displays an impressive portfolio of varied contemporary mixed-media landscapes and botanical studies. When working in larger scales, she often integrates spray paints into her work.
David Cutler, founder of Cutler Aesthetics, creates distinctive works predominantly in metal and wood. Inspired by his father and largely self-taught in forging and metalworking, he has developed a unique artistic style which combines traditional techniques with contemporary design. His commitment to quality, creativity, and the enduring beauty of nature produces striking, handcrafted creations that transform steel and wood into timeless works of art.
