Iona draws from landscapes and stories found within nature and has been described by Mark Radcliffe (BBC Radio 2) as "a real talent!".

Iona is accompanied by Malin Lewis – a piper, fiddler and multi instrumentalist best known for making their own instruments and experimenting with unusual sounds. Malin learnt their music on the West Coast of Scotland before studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.
