'+38 Famous People of Corsham' by Julian Carosi; from Æthelred II the Unready King of the English (from 978 to his death in 1016) to Corsham born 'Colonel David James Wood' MBE (b1923 – d2009) who commanded one of the glider-borne platoons which crash-landed into France in the opening minutes of D-Day.
