Our annual living history extravaganza!

Join us at The Rifles Berkshire & Wiltshire Museum for our annual Living History Festival. With re-enactment groups from the medieval era to the modern day, you'll be able to quite literally take a walk through time.

Our re-enactors will be setting up their encampments in the garden for the weekend, meaning you can experience all the sights, sounds and smells from different periods of military history.

You'll also have the opportunity to see replica equipment from each group, including medical tools, weaponry and armour. Each group will also be putting on displays throughout the day, teaching you all about different aspects of life as a soldier from the middle ages to the 20th century.

Alongside returning groups such as 'The Wiltshires in the Great War' and the 'Home Guard', we're also welcoming new re-enactors to the museum such as the 'La Columna' Spanish Civil War living history group, Dr. Stuart Blank (Japanese Army, WW2) and the 'World War One Falconess'- exhibiting live falconry displays!

Entry to the event is by donation. All donations go towards the upkeep of the museum and our ongoing redevelopment.
