About
Step back more than 500 years and experience life in medieval England at our Medieval Weekend on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June.
Throughout the weekend, the museum garden will be transformed by living history re-enactment group 'The House of the Twin-Tailed Lion', who will bring the medieval world to life through authentic displays, demonstrations and interactive activities. Discover how people lived, what they wore, the food they ate, and the crafts and skills that shaped everyday life in the Middle Ages.
Visitors can also witness exciting medieval combat displays and pitched battles taking place throughout the day, offering a fascinating glimpse into the realities of medieval warfare.
For younger visitors and aspiring knights, there will be the opportunity to take part in 'Knight School' training sessions and learn some of the skills needed to become a knight of the realm.
Perfect for families, history enthusiasts and curious minds of all ages, this free event offers a fun and immersive journey into Salisbury's medieval past.
