Mood, Memory, and Mark - Easter Art Workshop with Ed Scott

An afternoon of experimental drawing through a playful and expressive engagement with materials such as water-based inks, oil pastels, charcoal, and graphite. Using music as a tool to engage with themes such as mood and memory, participants will be guided through a number of expressive exercises in order to produce a collection of works led by an intuitive approach to mark making. Working with a clothed life model, this session is a fantastic opportunity for Art and Design students to further develop their portfolios.

Inks and some basic drawing materials will be provided but please feel free to bring in any of your own specific materials of your choice. Please also bring a sketchpad (approximately 250gms A3 size) or card and a selection of different paint brushes.

We will be working with water-based drawing inks (provided) and therefore participants should either come in old clothing or bring an apron or over shirt with them to wear during the session. Please bring your water bottle and snack.
