SALISBURY is set to rock once again with a packed line-up of music events.
Every weekend from June 2 to June 25 there will be live music at venues in and around the city as part of Salisbury Live.
Kicking off the bank holiday weekend on Thursday, June 2, will be Live @ The Farm at River Bourne Community Farm in Laverstock.
On the main stage will be The Marley Experience, Hells Bells, Train to Skaville, Gypsy Jukebox and Wiltshire College Music Showcase.
For the first time the event will also have a second stage. Breakcover, Pyeshoppe, CLS and The Duskers will be performing on the Salisbury Live Stage.
There will be a Platinum Jubilee party on Friday, June 3 at The Chapel in Milford Street, Salisbury with Queen tribute Act Flash. Doors open at 6.30pm.
This will be followed by a jubilee garden party at The Bull Hotel in Downton on Saturday, June 4, starting at 4pm and featuring music from Double J and The Rock n Roll Swindle, Solarboard, Dr Alibi, Pair Pierre, Jack Card and Funk Soul Sista.
In addition to the music there will be activities for children as well as food stalls.
Live in the Square will see The Deloreons, Pronghorn and The Few take centre stage in Market Square alongside a line-up of young musicians from Wiltshire Creative’s SHIFT project. Entry is free to this event which runs from 4pm to 10pm.
The fun continues into the Saturday (June 11), 2.30pm to 10pm, with the Picnic in the Park at Alderbury Rec, which features The Dura, Duran Experience. Entry is free.
On Saturday, June 18, at The Bull Hotel in Downton, Salisbury Live’s BULLFEST is back from 3pm with acts including The Flotonics and Illingsworth, Rockport Blues, Eddie George and Ribble.
Also being held that day is Winnifest at The Winchester Gate in Salisbury. Free entry.
Bringing the programme of events to a close will be the Summer Scrum Down at Salisbury Rugby Club on Saturday, June 25.
