Join Sammie Longhorn, forager, herb crafter and folklorist as we dive into the many magical gifts that wild plants have to offer. For our ancestors, wild plants would have been central to our evolution and used as building materials, fibres, dyes, food and medicine. For the majority of humanity this wild wisdom would have been passed down through mythology and folklore.

With some of the most beautiful insights coming in the form of old wives tales and superstitions, and at a time of year when the hedgerows are alive with abundance, Sammie will be diving into the wisdom and lore of such summer harvests as rose, elder, blackberry and wild strawberry.

This fascinating talk will include Sammie sharing a selection of herbal infusions, elixirs and botanical creations to smell, sample and explore.
