Saturday Lunchtime Organ Recital

We are very pleased to have Sean Maxwell with us on the 28th August 2021 at 12.15pm for a Lunchtime Organ Recital on our newly restored Samuel Green organ.
Sean is in the UK this month and offered us a recital with works by J.S Bach. We are delighted to welcome him to our church.
Sean Maxwell, a native of West Virginia, USA, and currently living in Austria, is an active organist and church musician. He has held positions at Baumgartenberg Monastery, with the orchestra of the St. Cecilia Association of Sacred Music (Austria) and in the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston (USA). Maxwell is also an accomplished soloist, having performed throughout the United States, Austria, Germany, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. Maxwell is passionate about early music, its research, performance practice and combining it with High Church liturgy. He hopes to bring early music to a wider audience and increase the understanding of the Church's musical heritage.
The concert is free with a retiring collection. Everybody is warmly invited.
