Families are invited to let their imaginations soar this summer at the Army Flying Museum's exciting Summer of Flight.
Taking place throughout the school holidays, the Summer of Flight offers hands-on activities, creative challenges and aviation-themed fun. Every weekday from 10.00am to 12.30pm, children can enjoy engaging flight-inspired crafts and interactive activities designed to bring the fascinating world of aviation to life.
Each week explores a different chapter in the history of flight:
Balloons & Kites – 27th–31st July
Aeroplanes – 3rd–7th August
Gliders – 10th–14th August
Helicopters – 17th–21st August
Drones – 24th–28th August
Alongside the themed activities, visitors can discover the Museum's remarkable collection of more than 35 historic aircraft, explore an interactive Time Travel Trail through the hangars, and take part in a special aviation-themed scavenger hunt packed with puzzles and clues.
The Museum is also delighted to welcome special guests from Portsmouth Naval Gliding Club, giving families the opportunity to learn more about the excitement and innovation behind flight from passionate aviation enthusiasts.
Whether young visitors are fascinated by history, inspired by science and engineering, or simply looking for a memorable family day out, the Army Flying Museum's Summer of Flight promises a fun-filled adventure for all ages.
