Log House Holidays will be re-opening 4 July
Log House Holidays provides the perfect luxury escape in the Cotswolds. In total there are eight completely secluded luxury log houses hidden around a 130 acre lake and nature reserve. Each one offers unspoilt lake views, a Finnish hot tub, private beach, traditional log fire and rowing boat. What more could you want? This is definitely an alternative and unique holiday break where you are destined to have a good time with family and friends.
In 1980 Anthony Edmondson set up this family run site, which now offers a complete eco-friendly escape. All cabins are pet friendly too so you can bring the whole family!
The eight log cabins sleep between 4 and 11. The smallest cabins are ideal for couples breaks and honeymoons. You can be sure to feel relaxed and unwind in the traditional Finnish hot tub perched over the lake’s edge. You can admire the wildlife and make sure to look out for the resident otter family, as well as experiencing complete sublime whilst stargazing on a clear night.
The largest cabin, Mayo Landing, has its own heated pool and wood fired sauna. It is also set on a private island in the middle of the lake making it a truly unique place for bigger families and group holidays.
Each cabin is beautifully furnished with furniture and art from local antique and auction houses creating a home away from home in the Cotswold’s. Bathrooms include roll top baths under the stars, walk in showers, luxury towels and Aromatherapy Associates toiletries. Spa treatments can also be arranged in the cabins for something extra special.
For the more adventurous who want to explore there are endless amount of activities. From exploring the 100 acres of water with your rowing boat, paddleboards or kayaks to a spot of fishing or bird watching on the 2 mile lake walk. Picnics on one of the lake islands or cycling through local Cotswold villages to a cosy pub are other things to enjoy before heading back to see the sunset from your steaming lakeside hot tub
