Marlborough Big & Little Mop Fair: Saturday 4th – Saturday 18th October
Marlborough’s famous Mop fairs were granted to the town in line with a charter from King John in 1204, where agricultural workers would come to be hired. Today, the historic town is host to a fun-filled week at the Big and Little Mop Fair, a town highlight each year.
Autumn Wreath Making at Bowood House: Thursday 9th, Friday 17th and Saturday 25th October
Head to Bowood House and Gardens to start the autumn celebrations with traditional wreath making this season! The perfect activity to enjoy with friends and family this month, learn the skills to use a variety of plant materials and design a wreath that’s unique for your home!

Salisbury Charter Fair: Sunday 19th – Wednesday 22nd October
Salisbury Charter Fair is once again bringing the excitement to Salisbury’s city centre, offering 4 days of fun for all ages this October! Head to Salisbury Market Place where you can enjoy a range of family favourites from twister rides, carousel and dodgems. The traditional civic parade will be held on opening night and their will be a variety of stalls selling sweet treats and delicious food across the 4 days.

Autumn Walks with the Family at Westonbirt: Monday 27th & Friday 31st October
Head just outside the Wiltshire borders and enjoy a delightful autumn walk amongst Westonbirt’s spectacular arboretum this October. From 10:30am – 12pm, children aged 3-8 can explore and collect all signs of autumn including leaves and seeds. Investigate how animals keep themselves warm in Winter and learn about other survival tactics. From 1:30-3pm, children aged 9-14 can learn more about seasons and how woodland habitat changes throughout the year.
