About
Join these delightful autumn walks at Westonbirt Arboretum with your family and experience autumnal changes first-hand. Discover the reasons behind them through games and challenges.
10:30am - 12:00pm:
Explore and collect the signs of autumn, investigate how animals keep themselves warm in winter, learn about the winter survival tactics that animals use, explore leaf diversity, and become seed explorers!
(Suitable for ages 3-8)
1:30pm - 3:00pm:
Discover why we have seasons and identify seasonal change in a woodland habitat, take part in a leaf bucket relay to learn about water movement in different trees, and try our ice experiment to explore the problems of water uptake of trees in winter! Create your own autumn colour bookmark at the end to take home.
(Suitable for ages 9-14)
Please note: this walk takes place in the Old Arboretum, a dog free area.
