Autumn Conversations in a Walled Garden

Six intimate autumn evenings inside an historic 18th-century walled garden near Wroughton, just outside Swindon.

Join us in the still-unfinished Garden Library at Bothy Gardens for good conversation, walking nibbles, a first glass of wine and the chance to experience this remarkable garden. At the same time, a new chapter in its story is still being created.

Each evening is limited to just 30 people, with guests arriving from 6 pm and the conversation beginning at 6.30 pm.

* 26 November — Farming, Food & a Better Future and a Thanksgiving Feast with Josef Bowles

Individual conversation evenings are £35, including walking nibbles and a first drink. The Thanksgiving Feast is £65, and a full Barn Raising Tribe Pass for all six gatherings plus benefits throughout the founding year 2027 is £215.

Bothy Gardens is a Georgian walled garden dating from 1731, which Mark Wheeler and Jules Gilleland are gradually restoring and reimagining as a place for plants, learning, creativity and community.

We have called these evenings The Barn Raising, inspired by the old American tradition of neighbours gathering to help build something none could create alone.

Rather than waiting for the Garden Library to be finished, we are inviting people in now.
