DATE: 14th of March 2026 START TIME: 10:00 ESTIMATED FINISH TIME :13:30 MEETING POINT: Circle Cafe (next to the Barn Museum) High Street, Avebury, Marlborough, Wiltshire, SN8 1RF TRAVEL & TRANSPORT; National Trust Car Park (south) 5 Minutes walk. Pay& Display or free to National Trust Members. There are also regular buses to Avebury from Swindon and Devizes). Possible car share options available… Contact Brian, who will try and arrange if possible.

Join us for beginner-friendly guided walks for over 50s in Avebury, Wiltshire a welcoming outdoor experience set amid the rolling chalk downland, ancient stone circles and peaceful trails of this World Heritage Site.

This event is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, helping remove financial barriers and making guided outdoor experiences more accessible for everyone.

Led by a qualified and experienced guide, these walks are paced for comfort and sociability, ideal for walkers who want to enjoy the countryside, heritage landscape and sociable group atmosphere at an easy pace.

What to Expect
This guided walk focuses on enjoyment, confidence and connection with nature and place:

A relaxed, guided group walk through easy countryside paths

Steady pace with regular stops and scenic viewpoints

Supportive leadership from a qualified guide

Sociable group atmosphere with others of a similar pace

The routes will follow established footpaths and may include gentle undulations typical of the Wiltshire landscape.
