Join us for beginner-friendly guided walks for over 50s at Uffington Castle, welcoming outdoor experience set amid the rolling hills along the Ridgeway the surrounding countryside with enjoyable trails and a chance to see the Uffington White Horse, Uffington Castle and Dragon Hill
This event is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, helping remove financial barriers and making guided outdoor experiences more accessible for everyone.
Led by a qualified and experienced guide, these walks are paced for comfort and sociability, ideal for walkers who want to enjoy the countryside, heritage landscape and sociable group atmosphere at an easy pace.
What to Expect
This guided walk focuses on enjoyment, confidence and connection with nature and place:
A relaxed, guided group walk through easy countryside paths
Steady pace with regular stops and scenic viewpoints
Supportive leadership from a qualified guide
Sociable group atmosphere with others of a similar pace
The routes will follow established footpaths and may include a steady hill climb with undulations typical of the Oxforshire / Wiltshire landscape.
