Paper Making Workshop for adults with Lara Hoad

Ever wondered how paper is made? Come and learn the process during a three-hour workshop where we will be creating handmade paper using traditional paper making techniques.

The workshop is led by Lara Hoad who is a recent maker graduate from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Lara is passionate about paper making and sharing her skills.

You will learn the paper making process from start to finish. This workshop will use recycled paper and cotton blended into a pulp. You will then learn to pull sheets using a mould and deckle and couch them onto cloth.

You will have the chance to combine gold leaf and dried flowers into the paper to create ornate and decorative papers.

After the workshop your paper will be pressed and dried for you to come and collect. The paper will then be ready for you to cherish or use as you wish.

Workshop fee £30 + Materials fee £15 = total £45
