About
Prospect Hospice has launched a brand-new community fundraising event, Men's Walk to Support, proudly supported by Swindon Town Football Club. Bringing men together to walk, talk and support one another whilst raising vital funds for local hospice care.
Taking place on Saturday 18 April 2026, the 8-mile walk will see hundreds of men gather at Prospect Hospice in Wroughton before setting off through Swindon, finishing at The County Ground in time to watch Swindon Town play at home.
The fully marshalled 8-mile route leads participants through Swindon's best-known landmarks, including the Old Town Railway Path, the Wilts & Berks Canal, the Designer Outlet and the Railway Village, before ending at The County Ground, the home of Swindon Town FC. The walkers will round off their walk with a free drink and food before taking their seats for the match with Accrington Stanley. A perfect ending of community spirit and camaraderie.
Men and boys aged 8 and over are invited to take part - whether walking in memory of someone they love, supporting a friend or simply wanting to be part of something positive and meaningful. Participants can walk with family, friends, colleagues or come along on their own and connect along the way. Supporters are encouraged to get involved by cheering walkers on or volunteering on the day.
This is more than a walk; it's a chance to open up, listen, support and be supported - all while helping Prospect Hospice continue delivering specialist end-of-life care for local patients and families.
