About
Ready for a new challenge? Head to the REME Museum this Summer Holidays for STEM Workshops designed to get young people using the principles of engineering while having fun!
Rocket Powered – Tuesdays (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th August)
Drop-in sessions, Education Suite
Working in family groups or individually, design and launch your own bottle rocket or air powered car! These workshops will teach you to use the same principles of engineering as astronauts... it literally is rocket science!
LEGO® Engineering Workshops - Wednesdays and Fridays (5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 26th, 28th August)
Pre-bookable sessions, Education Suite
Unleash your inner engineer and build a vehicle from genuine LEGO® parts that will actually drive!
Led by our Education Officer, Andrew, these sessions are limited in capacity to allow for suitable supervision, please book your space in advance to avoid disappointment. Recommended for ages 7 and above.
LEGO® Engineering Workshop booking will open within a week of the Summer Holidays. To pre-book your session, please book your general admission tickets on a suitable date, then add on a LEGO Workshop ticket (one per group). You'll then be able to choose your time slot.
Rubber Band-Powered Car Workshops – Thursdays (6th, 13th, 20th, 27th)
Drop-in sessions, Galleries
Who needs batteries? Release your engineering excellence and the power stored in a rubber band when you make and race your own rubber band-powered car!
Led by our Education Officer in our dedicated Education Suite, there's no need to book these sessions, simply drop in! Recommended for ages 6 and above.
