Westmill Wind Farm and Solar Park SUNSET Guided Tour

About

***This is a special SUNSET tour, giving you the chance to enjoy the beauty of Westmill's location as the sun begins to dip below the horizon.***

The Westmill Wind Farm and Solar Park is a pioneering community energy hub, located on the Oxfordshire/Wiltshire border.

Completed in 2011, Westmill is unique with both wind and solar community-owned electricity generation on one site. In fact, the solar park was the first community-owned of its kind in the UK.

Here is your chance to come and see how it all works!

Join us on-site at Westmill to discover renewable energy and the positive impact it has on our climate. Hear the eventful history of the Westmill, before learning about the installation and energy generation of our five wind turbines and over twenty-thousand solar panels. 'Country Living' has called Westmill one of the "6 most impressive solar farms around the world" to visit. You will experience at close quarters just how awe-inspiring this technology is.

This tour offers a unique, intimate and understandable perspective on how a wind farm and solar park works, all led by our team of friendly volunteer guides!
