Enjoy a half day workshop learning about the traditional craft of willow weaving as you make a willow obelisk for your garden. Spring is the perfect time to make one of these willow obelisks, ready for peas and beans to climb up in the summer.
No experience is required. This is a great course for beginners and experienced weavers alike.
Your tutor for this course is Suzy Williams of The Coppice Co. In 2018 Suzy won a place on the National Coppicing Apprenticeship Scheme, during which she learned vital skills and knowledge from seasoned coppice workers. Now she manages coppice woodlands alongside teaching and selling traditional woodland crafts.
Our class sizes are small, so you'll have a chance to engage with the tutor while you work.
