A wonderful place to stop and stretch – just off A303 in beautiful Wiltshire Countryside.
Visit Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm and you will see many animals including: Pigs, Goats, Sheep, Donkey, Calf, Ponies, Rabbits, Peacocks, Chickens, Ducks & Geese. There are daily animal encounters, large play barn and annual programme of events.
The 10-acre Bluestone vineyard, first planted in 2016, is producing well known classic varieties such as chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier. The wine produced onsite and local artisan products are available to purchase from the gift shop.
The onsite café makes an excellent lunch/tea stop off point for groups, serving delicious homemade food, drinks and cakes. Farm stay accommodation also available.
Wine tour packages
Situated on the rolling chalk plains of Wiltshire, sharing the same bedrock as nearby Stonehenge, Bluestone Vineyards offer individual and group visitors guided vineyard walks and wine tastings.
Enjoy a 45-minute guided tour of the vineyard with resident expert Nat McConnell. Learn how great grapes are grown and wonderful wine is made. This is followed by wine tasting in the vineyard setting, where visitors can try for themselves the Bluestone Classic Cuvee alongside a selection of locally produced nibbles.
For wine connoisseurs an extended wine tasting session can take place incorporating a wider range of selected quality English and local wines. Why not finish with an indulgent afternoon tea or local food platter?
Alpaca Walking Tours
For something a bit quirky, there is always an option to add an Alpaca walking tour to your vineyard experience.
